This Electronics Engineer – Production Engineering job in Cambridge offers the chance to join a newly formed NPI team focused on taking complex electronic products from R&D into scalable manufacturing. The successful Electronics Engineer – Production Engineering in Cambridge will work across R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality to ensure electronic designs are fully production-ready. This Electronics Engineer – Production Engineering role in Cambridge will focus on PCB design support, manufacturability improvements, and the development of production test solutions for advanced electronic systems. Key responsibilities for the Electronics Engineer – Production Engineering job in Cambridge include: • Supporting the transition of products from prototype into volume manufacture • Working with R&D to improve PCB design for manufacturability and testability • Supporting PCB assembly, integration, and electronic fault finding • Developing and improving automated production test equipment and fixtures • Supporting NPI builds, root cause analysis, and production issue resolution • Creating and maintaining technical documentation and manufacturing processes • Working closely with suppliers, production, and engineering teams To be considered for this Electronics Engineer – Production Engineering opportunity in Cambridge, you will need: • Degree in Electronic Engineering or related discipline • Proven experience using Altium for PCB design and layout • Strong experience with PCB assembly, integration, and electronics manufacturing • Good understanding of DFM, DFA, and DFT principles • Experience supporting products through NPI and into production • Strong fault-finding skills at board and system level • Understanding of ISO9001 or similar quality systems Experience with automated test equipment, microcontrollers, LabVIEW, C/C++, or military-standard product development would be advantageous.
