Transport Co-ordinator 📍 Widnes, WA8 0GG 💷 £36,183 per annum + Overtime + On-Call Allowance 🕒 Full Time | Permanent 📅 Monday to Friday | Rotating Shifts An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Transport Co-ordinator to join a leading national transport and logistics operation within the tanker haulage sector. This is a fast-paced role where you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of LGV vehicles and trailers across the UK while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining operational compliance. Shift Pattern Rotating weekly shifts: 06:00 – 14:00 14:00 – 22:00 22:00 – 06:00 (cover only with additional allowance) 37.5 hours per week with overtime opportunities and weekend on-call cover on a rota basis. The Role As a Transport Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for: Planning and coordinating driver and vehicle movements Managing daily transport plans and rotas Monitoring delivery performance and KPI targets Liaising with drivers, customers and operational teams Ensuring compliance with WTD and drivers’ hours regulations Maintaining high levels of customer service Managing operational issues and responding to changing demands Supporting driver wages, expenses and holiday planning Ensuring all H&S procedures are followed and incidents reported correctly What We’re Looking For Previous experience within transport/logistics planning or coordination Strong geographical knowledge of the UK Experience working within a fast-paced operational environment Good understanding of drivers’ hours and transport compliance Strong communication and organisational skills Ability to problem solve and work under pressure IT competent with experience using transport planning systems and Microsoft Office Experience with Microlise or similar systems advantageous What’s On Offer Competitive salary + overtime opportunities 25 days annual leave + bank holidays Company pension scheme Life assurance Cycle to work scheme Employee assistance programme Retail discounts and wellbeing support Long-term career opportunities within a well-established and growing business Please note: All offers of employment are subject to Right to Work checks, Basic DBS clearance and Drug & Alcohol screening.
