Brake Press Setter / Operator Location: Cradley Heath Job Type: Full-Time Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced Brake Press Setter / Operator to join a busy engineering and fabrication environment based in Cradley Heath. The business specialises in the design and manufacture of bespoke metal products, including components for the materials handling and forklift truck industry, working to high standards of precision and quality. This is a hands-on role requiring a skilled individual with prior experience operating and setting brake press machinery, specifically Edward Pearson machines. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate brake press machinery (Edward Pearson) to produce high-quality components Interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately Carry out bending, forming, and fabrication of metal components Perform first-off inspections and in-process quality checks Adjust machine settings to ensure precision and adherence to tolerances Work with a variety of materials including mild steel and aluminium Maintain a clean and safe working environment Collaborate with fabrication and welding teams to meet production targets Requirements Essential: Proven experience as a Brake Press Setter/Operator Experience operating Edward Pearson brake press machines Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Good understanding of fabrication processes within an engineering environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Desirable Skills Previous experience in a fabrication or manufacturing setting Knowledge of working on bespoke or batch production projects Familiarity with general sheet metal work What's on Offer Competitive hourly rate of £15.00 per hour Full-time, stable position Opportunity to work within a skilled engineering and fabrication team Varied and interesting workload involving bespoke manufacturing Adecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
