Bakery Operative – Permanent

Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off - rotating shifts * 2 Days: 7:00am – 7:00pm * 2 Nights: 7:00pm – 7:00am Breaks: 4 x 30-minute breaks per 12-hour shift The Opportunity We are currently recruiting for Bakery Operatives to join a busy and fast-paced production environment within the Morning Goods and Slicing departments at the Northwich site. Previous bakery production experience is desirable; however, candidates with experience within FMCG or fast-moving manufacturing environments will also be considered. Full training will be provided. This role involves manual handling, operating within a production environment, and working as part of a team to meet production and quality targets. Key Responsibilities * Follow daily production plans and work instructions * Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment * Ensure production deadlines and targets are achieved * Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping (“clean as you go”) * Complete production paperwork accurately and report any issues or non-conformances * Maintain food safety, quality, and legal compliance standards * Adhere to all SOPs, procedures, risk assessments, and safe systems of work * Work safely and responsibly at all times * Maintain awareness of staff and machinery within the working area * Follow manual handling procedures correctly What We’re Looking For Essential: * Previous experience within an FMCG or production/manufacturing environment * Good communication skills, both verbal and written * Strong attention to detail * Flexible and reliable approach to work * Ability to follow instructions and learn new processes * Comfortable working within a physically demanding role Desirable: * Previous bakery or food production experience * Experience working within high-volume manufacturing environments What’s On Offer * Permanent full-time position * Competitive salary package * Structured shift pattern with regular time off * Full training and development provided * Opportunity to build a long-term career within food manufacturing To apply please submit your CV and we will get in contact with you
