Manufacturing Engineer

Our client is a leading high-tech engineering and manufacturing company specialising in advanced heavy equipment, fabrication, and complex assembly operations, with a strong focus on innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Improve manufacturing systems, processes, and production flow Support fabrication and assembly operations for heavy machinery Develop efficient production methods and shop-floor layouts Implement lean manufacturing, 5S, Yamazumi, and continuous improvement initiatives Manage BOMs (Bills of Materials) and material flow Coordinate with production, quality, supply chain, and design engineering teams Troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly issues Drive cost reduction, waste reduction, and productivity improvements Support new product introduction (NPI) Improve safety, quality, and delivery performance across operations Skills & Experience Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering Experience in heavy equipment, fabrication, or assembly manufacturing Lean manufacturing and CI tools Root-cause analysis and problem solving ERP/MRP systems knowledge Understanding of welding, machining, hydraulics, and assembly processes Strong communication and project coordination skills Typical Tools & Methods PFEP (Plan For Every Part) Standard work Process mapping Kaizen FMEA BOM management CAD/SolidWorks familiarity Production KPI analysis Working Environment Large-scale heavy equipment manufacturing Fast-paced production engineering Strong focus on operational excellence Cross-functional teamwork between engineering and operations
