Recycling Operator – Temp to Permanent 📍 Blantyre 💷 £13.91 per hour (PAYE) 🕒 Full Time | Temp to Perm Opportunity We are currently recruiting for a Recycling Operator on behalf of our client based in Blantyre. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity, initially for 12 weeks through the agency before transferring directly onto the client’s payroll for the successful candidate. This role has become available due to a long-serving operator retiring, making it an excellent opportunity to join a stable and supportive team with long-term prospects. Working Hours Working hours will be either: * 6:00am – 4:00pm or * 7:00am – 4:00pm The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for: * Managing the co-mingled waste reception area * Traffic marshalling vehicles entering and exiting site * Supporting recycling operations across the facility * Maintaining safe working practices at all times * Providing additional cover during busy operational periods when required Please note: this is a hands-on role within a recycling environment that includes food and garden waste, so applicants should be comfortable working in a physically demanding and sometimes unpleasant environment. What We’re Looking For * A reliable and hardworking individual * Someone comfortable working in an industrial recycling environment * Flexible approach to work and shift requirements * Good awareness of health & safety * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Traffic marshalling experience is beneficial, although full training will be provided Important Information Due to the site location not being serviced well by public transport, candidates with their own transport are strongly preferred.
