Our client is seeking an Administrator to join their busy Operations team, supporting a wide range of office, HR, training, and project administration duties for their office in Tyne & Wear. This is a varied and hands-on role offering exposure across multiple areas of the business, supporting both site and office teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. What You’ll Be Doing: * Supporting the day-to-day running of office administration systems, ensuring all records and internal systems remain accurate and up to date * Managing company archiving, filing, scanning, photocopying, and document control duties as required * Compiling and maintaining KPI data and supporting operational reporting processes * Assisting with Health & Safety administration and equipment ordering * Supporting HR administration processes, including onboarding and induction of new employees * Using internal systems including People First where required * Monitoring, recording, and coordinating staff training requirements in conjunction with the Group Training Department * Ordering plant and materials for construction sites as required * Assisting with Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) preparation across sites * Attending meetings and accurately taking and distributing minutes * Maintaining efficient administration systems and ensuring company procedures and policies are consistently followed * Ensuring reports, documentation, and forms are completed accurately and submitted within required deadlines * Supporting the wider Operations team with general ad hoc administration duties as required * Liaising professionally with internal teams, subcontractors, clients, design teams, and external stakeholders What We’re Looking For: * Previous experience within an administration or office support role, ideally within construction or a fast-paced environment * Good standard of education including Maths and English * Proficient in Microsoft Office and confident using internal systems and software packages * Strong organisational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage a varied workload * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Positive, proactive, and approachable attitude with a flexible approach to work * Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure * Ability to work independently using initiative as well as collaboratively within a team environment * Reliable, punctual, enthusiastic, and committed approach * Strong work ethic with a professional and customer-focused mindset Role Information: * DOE £24,000 - £32,000 * Full-time permanent position * Office-based role within a leading regional construction business * Varied and fast-paced position supporting operational and project teams * Long-term career development opportunities within a supportive environment * Opportunity to join a highly respected and values-driven organisation This is a permanent position and Elvet Recruitment Limited will be acting as an employment agency for permanent recruitment on behalf of our client.
