Senior Accountant / Audit Senior

My client is a rapidly expanding, acquisitive accountancy firm providing tailored accounting, audit, and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and High Net Worth individuals. They are now looking to recruit a Senior Accountant / Audit Senior for a varied role split approximately 50% accounting and 50% audit work. Key Responsibilities * Lead and manage audit assignments from planning through to completion * Prepare statutory accounts for a range of clients (limited companies, partnerships, sole traders) * Review work prepared by junior staff and provide guidance and mentorship * Liaise directly with clients, building and maintaining strong relationships * Ensure compliance with relevant accounting and auditing standards * Assist with corporation tax computations and returns Requirements * ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent) * Demonstrable experience in practice, including audit * Strong technical knowledge of FRS 102 and auditing standards * Experience managing audit assignments and leading small teams * Experience working with SMEs and owner-managed businesses * Exposure to cloud accounting systems and digital tools * Interest in business advisory and client relationship development This is a great opportunity with clear career development prospects and interviews are ongoing so apply now
