Audit Manager

Our client is looking to build its team with the addition of an Audit Manager – could this be you? The firm, a boutique accountancy practice that prides itself on providing high quality audit, accounts and tax services to a range of businesses and individuals, would like to speak to qualified, experienced audit professionals. This role would suit someone with experience working at manager level or a qualified and highly experienced person ready for a step up to Manager and be an integral, key element of the team and not just ‘a cog in a machine’. This is a full-time vacancy; however, a part time position may be considered for the right candidate. As Audit Manager your responsibilities will include: * Leading audit teams on group and international assignments * Preparing consolidations under IFRS and FRS 102 * Managing and prioritising your own portfolio of work to deadlines and budgets * Supervising, mentoring and developing audit staff * Working closely with the Audit Partner on technical audit matters * Playing an active role in shaping how the audit department evolves We welcome applications from those that can satisfy the following criteria: * Qualified ACA or ACCA with at least three years PQE * Minimum five years working in a UK accountancy practice environment * Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and ISAs, and be confidence in its application * Have excellent communication skills, be personable and approachable to build good rapport and working relationships with both clients and colleagues * Positive, proactive and solutions-focused * Experienced in audit and statutory accounts software * Open and enthusiastic about adopting new systems and technology This is a fantastic opportunity to join an independent accountancy firm and further progress your career within a friendly, dynamic environment.
