Job Title: Principal Clean Water Modeller Salary: £60ph (dependent on experience) Location: UK - Flexible / Hybrid Working Type: Contract - 6-12 Months, Inside IR35 About the Role: Our client is seeking an experienced Principal Clean Water Modeller to provide technical leadership across a range of clean water network modelling projects. The successful candidate will support planning, resilience, operational strategy, and capital delivery programmes, whilst ensuring high-quality modelling outputs and technical assurance standards are maintained. This is an excellent opportunity to work on nationally significant water infrastructure projects within a highly collaborative and technically focused environment. About the Client: Our client is a leading engineering and infrastructure consultancy delivering sustainable solutions across the water, environment, and infrastructure sectors. They are recognised for delivering innovative, future-focused projects that improve resilience and operational performance across the UK water industry. Key Responsibilities: Lead clean water modelling commissions and define modelling strategies Deliver technical assurance, model reviews, and sign-off of deliverables Build, update, and maintain clean water network models Carry out calibration and validation using flow, pressure, and level data Deliver scenario modelling for growth, resilience, outage planning, leakage reduction, and investment planning Ensure compliance with client specifications and water industry standards Maintain accurate documentation, QA records, and change control processes Lead technical discussions with stakeholders and clients Mentor and support junior team members and modellers Support bids, proposals, and modelling methodology development What Our Client is Looking For: Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or similar Significant experience in clean water distribution network modelling Strong understanding of water distribution hydraulics and operational behaviour Experience using modelling software such as InfoWorks WS Pro, Synergi Water, or EPANET Strong technical reporting and QA experience Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Desirable: Chartered or working towards Chartership with ICE, CIWEM, or equivalent Experience with water quality modelling concepts Knowledge of GIS platforms, Python, or advanced data workflows What Our Client Offers: Flexible and hybrid working arrangements Long-term contract opportunity Exposure to high-profile UK water infrastructure projects Collaborative and technically driven working environment Opportunity to influence modelling standards and technical direction Eligibility: Candidates must have the right to work in the UK and be available to work on an Inside IR35 contract basis.
