Project Director - Data Centre/ Client Side

Location: Berlin, Germany Sector: Data Centre Infrastructure Employment Type: Permanent / Salary Role Package: Competitive Salary + Flights + Accommodation Included We are seeking an experienced Project Lead to join a major hyperscale data centre development in Berlin. This is a client-side leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of project legislation, design management, construction delivery, and stakeholder coordination across a large-scale mission-critical facility. The successful candidate will take ownership of the project lifecycle from pre-construction through commissioning and handover, ensuring delivery is achieved safely, compliantly, on programme, and to the highest operational standards. Key Responsibilities * Lead the successful delivery of a hyperscale data centre project from design through to completion * Oversee all project compliance with German regulations, European legislation, and client standards * Manage multidisciplinary teams including CSA, MEP, commissioning, controls, and specialist consultants * Act as the primary client-side representative across all project phases * Coordinate design development, technical reviews, procurement, and construction activities * Monitor programme, budget, quality, and project risk throughout delivery * Ensure effective communication between contractors, consultants, vendors, and key stakeholders * Drive health & safety excellence and quality assurance across the project * Support commissioning, operational readiness, and final handover activities * Ensure all systems and infrastructure are delivered in line with mission-critical performance requirements Requirements * Proven experience delivering large-scale data centre, mission-critical, or major infrastructure projects * Strong understanding of German construction legislation and European compliance standards * Experience managing complex projects from pre-construction through commissioning and handover * Client-side or principal contractor experience preferred * Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills * Strong commercial and programme management capabilities * Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Services, or related discipline * Fluent English required; German advantageous Package * Competitive salary package * Flights included * Accommodation provided * Opportunity to work on a flagship hyperscale data centre development * Long-term project pipeline and career progression opportunities This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced project delivery professional to take a leading role on one of Europe’s most significant data centre developments and help deliver critical next-generation infrastructure
