Ocean Import Operator Location: Bradford Salary: Up to £33,000 Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00 We are working with a well-established freight forwarding business in Bradford who are looking to appoint an Ocean Import Operator to join their busy team. The company has been operating for over 30 years and provides sea freight and RoRo, road freight, air freight, export and import services to a wide range of customers. This role will principally sit within the FCL Import Department, supporting the movement of import consignments and ensuring customers receive a high level of service throughout the shipping process. The Role Handling general administrative duties, including data input, shipping documentation, raising invoices and passing purchase invoices Arranging import consignments Planning and booking deliveries Monitoring shipments Liaising with customers and service providers Supporting the day-to-day running of the import department Requirements Minimum 1 to 2 years' experience working within a shipping department environment Knowledge of customs procedures and software would be preferred Strong customer service focus Proactive approach with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively Strong communication skills Able to work well independently and as part of a team Good file management skills Package Salary up to £33,000 Full-time, permanent position Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00 Strong development opportunities Friendly and knowledgeable office environmentThis is a great opportunity for an Ocean Import Operator looking to join a reputable freight forwarding business with a strong reputation for excellent customer service.
