Senior Estimator Central London Up to £95,000 plus package and flexible working A growing, technology-led main contractor specialising in complex refurbishment, retrofit and high-quality fit-out projects across London is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Estimator to join its expanding pre-construction team. This is an opportunity to join a modern construction business delivering challenging projects across commercial, residential, heritage and public sector environments, with project values typically ranging from £500k to £10m. The company has built a strong reputation for delivering technically complex refurbishment and retrofit schemes with a collaborative, detail-driven approach and is now seeking a commercially astute Senior Estimator who wants to play a key role in its next phase of growth. The Opportunity You will take ownership of the estimating function across a variety of refurbishment, retrofit and fit-out projects, working closely with directors, commercial teams, consultants and supply chain partners from early engagement through to tender submission. This role offers genuine long-term progression, with a clear pathway to becoming Head of Estimating as the business continues to grow. Key Responsibilities Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates and tender submissions Review drawings, specifications and project documentation Manage and coordinate the tender process from enquiry through to submission Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and supply chain partners Carry out value engineering exercises and identify cost-saving opportunities Assess project risks, programme constraints and procurement strategies Work closely with the operational and commercial teams during pre-construction phases Attend client meetings, site visits and tender interviews where required Support business development activities and contribute to winning new work Help shape and improve estimating systems, processes and reporting structures Requirements Proven experience as a Senior Estimator within the construction industry Strong background in refurbishment, retrofit, fit-out or complex construction projects Experience pricing projects up to £10m Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail Strong understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously Excellent communication and negotiation skills Proficient with estimating software and Microsoft Office Stable career history with reputable contractors Ambitious individual looking to progress into a leadership role What’s on Offer Salary up to £95,000 depending on experience Flexible working arrangements Clear route to Head of Estimating Opportunity to join a fast-growing, forward-thinking contractor Collaborative and supportive leadership team Exposure to high-profile and technically challenging London projects Long-term career progression within an ambitious business Apply If you are a driven Senior Estimator looking for a long-term opportunity with real progression potential, apply now for a confidential discussion
