Mechanical Project Engineer Tier 1 MEP Contractor | Data Centre Projects 📍 East London 💷 Permanent or Freelance (CIS / Ltd) I’m currently representing a market-leading Tier 1 MEP Contractor with a strong presence across the UK and Europe, delivering complex projects across the Data Centre, Commercial, Infrastructure and Life Sciences sectors. Due to continued growth and a secured pipeline of mission critical projects, they are now looking to appoint a Mechanical Project Engineer to join the delivery team on a major Data Centre development in East London. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a technically challenging, fast-paced project with a highly experienced delivery team and genuine long-term progression opportunities within one of the industry’s most sought-after sectors. The Opportunity Working alongside Senior Project Managers and site teams, you’ll play a key role in the delivery and coordination of mechanical building services packages across a large-scale mission critical environment. This role will suit someone who enjoys technically demanding projects and wants exposure to complex mechanical systems within a live data centre construction environment. 🔧 Key Responsibilities * Support the delivery and coordination of mechanical packages on site * Work closely with Project Managers and construction teams to maintain programme targets * Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and specialist mechanical trades * Monitor installation progress and ensure works are delivered in line with programme * Carry out inspections, QA checks and technical reviews * Assist in resolving technical and installation challenges on site * Support commissioning activities and handover processes * Ensure compliance with health & safety and QA procedures * Contribute to project reporting, risk management and progress tracking * Ensure installations are delivered in line with design and client specifications ⚙️ Requirements * Experience working as a Mechanical Project Engineer or Mechanical Engineer within the building services / MEP sector * Previous experience delivering Data Centre, mission critical or large-scale commercial projects preferred * Strong technical understanding of mechanical building services systems * Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating site activities * Good understanding of QA/QC procedures and health & safety compliance * Strong communication and problem-solving skills * CSCS card essential * SMSTS and First Aid beneficial 🌟 Why Apply? * Opportunity to work on a flagship Data Centre project in East London * Join a highly respected Tier 1 MEP Contractor * Fast-paced environment with genuine responsibility and exposure * Strong pipeline of secured Data Centre projects * Excellent progression and long-term career opportunities within mission critical construction Please apply through this advert with your updated CV to be considered
