Warehouse Operative

Warehouse Operative Hours & Pay Monday to Friday 9:00am - 2:00pm 30-minute unpaid lunch break £13.90 per hour Duties & Responsibilities Unloading deliveries and checking delivery paperwork accurately Putting stock away in the correct warehouse locations Booking in delivered purchase orders Picking and packing customer orders Wrapping and strapping pallets ready for dispatch Carrying out quality checks on incoming and outgoing goods Ensuring orders are dispatched within required lead times Maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy warehouse and yard Assisting with inventory and stock control Supporting other team members when required Following all Health & Safety procedures at all times Booking parcel and pallet couriers using internal systems Skills & Experience Previous warehouse experience within a busy environment Forklift truck licence preferred Experience using hand pallet trucks Good communication and teamwork skills Strong organisational and time management abilities Ability to work independently and use initiative Computer literate Reliable with a strong attention to detail Comfortable with manual handling, lifting, and standing for long periods Customer service and problem-solving skills Experience within a chemical or highly regulated H&S environment desirable but not essential Sage 50 experience desirable Road & Sea DG Certificate desirable but not essential Benefits 22 days holiday plus bank holidays Additional day off for your birthday each year Christmas shutdown Company pension with 4% employer contribution Overtime available If you have not heard back from us within 7 working days, please assume your application has been unsuccessful
