The Role As a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer, you will support learners across Level 2 and Level 3 engineering programmes, apprenticeships, and potentially Higher Education delivery depending on qualifications and experience. Key responsibilities include: Deliver engaging and industry-relevant Mechanical Engineering lessons Support practical and theory-based learning across engineering programmes Deliver across Level 2, Level 3, apprenticeships, and potentially HNC/HND provision Plan and prepare inclusive and effective teaching sessions Support learners with coursework, projects, and assessments Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback Promote safe working practices within workshop and classroom environments Create a positive and professional learning environment What We’re Looking For We welcome applications from both experienced lecturers and engineering professionals looking to move into teaching. Essential: Strong industry experience within Mechanical Engineering Relevant engineering qualification Strong communication and organisational skills Ability to engage and support learners across a range of levels Professional, flexible, and reliable approach Desirable: HNC/HND or higher qualification in Mechanical Engineering Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, DET) Experience delivering engineering education or apprenticeship training Experience within Further or Higher Education Enhanced DBS on the Update Service No teaching qualification?
