Senior Building Surveyor Location: Bristol Hours: Full Time 37.5 Length of Contract: Perm Salary: £46,142 per annum An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join a well-established public sector property team delivering essential works across a large and diverse education portfolio. Working within a highly regarded Corporate Landlord function, you will play a key role in managing building repair, maintenance, refurbishment, and compliance projects across schools and educational facilities throughout Bristol. This is an ideal role for a commercially aware Building Surveyor looking to work on meaningful projects that directly support local communities and educational environments. Key Responsibilities * Manage and deliver planned and reactive building works across educational assets * Undertake condition surveys, inspections, and asset assessments * Oversee maintenance programmes, project budgets, and contractor performance * Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, CDM requirements, and health & safety standards * Act as Client Representative, Designer, and Planning Supervisor where required * Support Hard FM and asset management functions using systems including NEC4, SFG20, JobLogic, FastDraft, and Concerto * Provide technical advice and consultancy support to internal stakeholders and service departments Candidate Requirements * Qualification suitable for Corporate Membership of CIOB or equivalent professional body * Proven experience delivering building repair, maintenance, and refurbishment projects * Strong knowledge of NEC contracts, CDM regulations, and financial/project management * Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills * Experience within public sector, local authority, or education environments advantageous * Full UK driving licence required Desirable Experience * NEC4 contract administration * SFG20 planned maintenance standards * FastDraft, Concerto, JobLogic, and CAD software * Public sector governance and compliance processes This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation offering varied projects, long-term stability, and the chance to make a real impact across Bristol’s education estate.
