Onshore Lift & Traction Engineer


Job Role: Onshore Lift & Traction Engineer Location: UK & Ireland Mainland (Onshore Only) Salary: £40,000-£45,000 (OTE £55,000-£65,000) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent The Client: Interaction Recruitment are proud to partner with a well-established organisation specialising in industrial vertical access and traction lift systems. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a Traction Service Engineer to their small but expanding field-based team. This is a purely onshore role, focusing on industrial environments, offering stability, structured workload and no requirement for offshore travel or call-out rota commitments. The Role: Carry out service, maintenance, fault finding and repairs on traction lifts Conduct planned inspections and testing (where authorised) Complete all documentation including service reports, timesheets and job records Work in line with H&S policies, procedures and Safe Systems of Work (SSOWs) Represent the business professionally on customer sites Communicate effectively with customers, planners and internal teams Identify defects, risks and opportunities for improvement Support continuous improvement across safety, quality and service delivery Contribute to the growth of the traction lift division through high-quality service What’s on offer: Structured, planned work – no call out rota Onshore only – no offshore or international travel required Stable, long-term opportunity within a growing specialist team Supportive working environment with opportunity to contribute to business growth Consistent workload across UK & Ireland mainland industrial sites The opportunity to grow and develop within a brand new division with scope to progress into technical support / management. 33 days holiday (including bank holidays) after 1 year Door-to-door pay + company vehicle & fuel card Overtime rates:  Weekdays (after 8.5 hrs): 1.5x Saturdays: 1.5x Sundays: 2x Night allowances:  UK: £25 per night Full manufacturer training & structured progression The Requirements: Proven experience working on traction lifts (service, maintenance & fault finding) Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems Ability to carry out inspections and testing where competent Knowledge of health & safety standards and safe systems of work Strong communication and customer-facing skills Full UK Driving Licence This is an excellent opportunity for a Traction Engineer looking for a stable, UK-based role without offshore travel or call-out pressures, while still working on technically interesting industrial projects.
