Production Manager / Operations Manager Salary £50,000pa - £55,000pa + benefits Location: Reading Contract type: Permanent, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday Annual leave: 25 days holiday excluding bank holidays Bonus: Performance based annual bonus up to 15% Pension: 5%   Role Overview: We are seeking a Production Manager to lead, manage and develop production teams, ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement across our clients site.   The ideal candidate will come from a fast-paced food manufacturing or FMCG production environment, with experience in high-volume processing operations and a strong understanding of quality and operational standards.   This company offers a clear pathway for progression into a more senior position within 1-2 years, as the company is strongly committed to retaining talent and developing people internally wherever possible.   Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop production leaders and team leaders, managing performance, absence and health & safety compliance. Oversee and optimise high-volume production line operations to ensure maximum efficiency and output. Lead continuous improvement initiatives and resolve production issues. Monitor and report on KPIs, recommending actions to improve efficiency and quality. Plan and coordinate production resources to meet targets and deadlines. Develop and manage budgets, controlling costs and productivity.   Skills & Experience: Strong leadership, communication and team-building skills. Excellent analytical and organisational abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook).
