Proposals Engineer Location: Telford Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 (DOE) Hours: Mon–Thu 08:00–16:45, Fri 08:00–12:00 Deliver commercially smart proposals for world‑class engineered systems! This is a varied role that combines mechanical engineering expertise with commercial awareness, working closely with sales, engineering and customers throughout the full bid lifecycle. Key responsibilities include: Review RFQs and interpret customer requirements Develop technical solutions with engineering teams Select equipment and source costs for materials/services Prepare accurate, costed proposals and quotations Ensure bids are delivered on time and within budget Support customer meetings, contract handover, and project coordination Assist with sales admin and identify new opportunities Essential criteria: 5+ years’ experience in proposals/tendering or sales engineering Mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent experience Background in heavy/complex engineered systems or machine build Experience producing technical, costed proposals Strong communication, stakeholder management, and commercial awareness Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with AutoCAD/Inventor preferred Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and customer-focused Apply Now!
