Our London office is expanding, and we are looking for a motivated Trainee Asset Appraiser to join our specialist asset valuation and industrial appraisal team. This role offers a hands‑on introduction to the world of plant, machinery, and commercial asset appraisal — ideal for someone practical, curious, and eager to build a career in a niche, high‑demand field. About the Role As a Trainee Asset Appraiser, you will support senior valuers in assessing, cataloguing, and preparing a wide range of industrial and commercial assets for valuation and sale. Key Responsibilities * Asset preparation — cataloguing, listing, items at client sites. * Appraisal support — assisting with inspections, measurements, photography, and valuation notes, researching and valuing available assets. * Logistics coordination — ensuring safe movement of goods and managing site workflows. * Auction preparation — supporting both onsite and online sale setups. * Client and customer communication — maintaining professional relationships and providing progress updates. * Onsite supervision — directing contractors or temporary staff when required. * Business development awareness — spotting opportunities for new instructions. * Health & Safety compliance — following company and site‑specific procedures. * Reviewing finance agreements * Appraising wide variation of assets What We’re Looking For * Interest in plant & machinery, industrial equipment, or commercial assets. * Strong organisational and communication skills. * Ability to work independently and use initiative. * Comfortable with manual handling and site‑based work. * Full UK driving licence (essential). * Forklift licence or NEBOSH certification is a bonus — training can be provided.
