Senior Quantity Surveyor Our client, a leading organisation in the power utilities and infrastructure sector, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a major electrical and civils project near Taunton. This full‑time permanent role offers a hybrid model, with three days per week on site and two days from home. The successful candidate will play a key commercial role, ensuring strong financial and contractual control across high‑value works delivered under NEC forms of contract. Key Responsibilities Ensuring compliance with company and client health & safety standards Providing commercial leadership across project and commercial teams Managing multiple NEC3/NEC4, JCT and bespoke contracts Measurement and valuation of works for applications, variations and final accounts Identifying and managing Early Warnings and Compensation Events Preparing cash flow forecasts and managing CVRs Leading monthly project reviews and attending client progress meetings Overseeing invoicing, debt recovery and dispute resolution Managing supply chain performance and driving continuous improvement Supporting development and mentoring of the wider commercial team Job Requirements Essential: Strong experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or similar commercial role Proven commercial performance management background In‑depth working knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (or HNC with relevant experience) Advanced Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables) Experience in civil engineering, utilities, or construction environmentsDesirable: Chartered or working towards chartership (RICS) Benefits Pension with up to 8% employer contribution 25 days annual leave + bank holidays Salary sacrifice car scheme (Hybrid/Electric) Personal wellbeing and volunteer days Private medical insurance 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme Flexible benefits: dental, gym memberships, travel insurance, cycle to work Personal development programme If you are an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to take a leading role on a major infrastructure project, we would love to hear from you.
