Plumber - Band 6 (Sth) - Facilities Management & Building Services Location: Tyne and Wear Depot/Base: Middlefields Industrial Estate, South Shields Contract Type: Temporary Duration: 1 June 2026 - 31 August 2026 Hours: 37 hours per week Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:30 Pay Rate: £16.62 per hour   Job Overview We are currently seeking an experienced Plumber - Band 6 (Sth) to join the Facilities Management and Building Services team based in Tyne and Wear. This is a temporary role supporting maintenance and repair works across a range of commercial and public sector buildings. Key Responsibilities Carry out plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair work Diagnose and resolve plumbing faults efficiently Ensure all work is completed to health & safety standards Respond to reactive maintenance requests Complete planned preventative maintenance tasks Work independently and as part of a wider maintenance team Requirements NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Plumbing Previous experience in facilities maintenance or building services Ability to work from technical drawings and specifications Good understanding of health & safety procedures Full UK driving licence preferred
