Estimator Up to £65,000 facade sub contractor Central London A highly successful leading subcontractor known for their expertise in glass systems and façades is seeking an Estimator to oversee their projects from initial tender receipt to project win. Based in London with projects located in London. The company is well recognised for their ability to design, procure, and install a variety of glass façade systems for some of the most prestigious multi-million commercial projects in London, as well as smaller more bespoke contracts. As one of the UK's top installers of bespoke building envelopes they need a capable Estimator to strengthen and support their current team, working on smaller projects and maintenance lead works. Your role as Estimator will be pre-construction focused to support the commercial and design teams, winning glass and facade projects, complete envelopes systems, for the operations teams to deliver. It is will be a hands on role and may involve other duties. Consequently we seek someone with an SMSTS, who can go to site when needed, survey projects and actively engage in the wider business. Duties will include: Subcontractor Quotation evaluations Cost Planning Value Engineering Take Offs and measurement Subcontractor engagement Risk Analysis Reviewing the Tender documentation. Developing the Tender design by proposing building details and construction methods. Estimating the cost of the internal production activities. Searching potential external suppliers. Managing price requests to external suppliers. Compiling the Tender submissions. Monitoring Tenders after submission and respond to any further requests by the client. Managing all communications with the client during the Tender process. Liaising with the Engineering and Production departments. This role would ideally suit applicants that have previous estimating experience with another sub contractor either facade contractor or glass specialist with an interiors / exteriors focus, but also someone who may have worked on site in Project Management who wants to focus more on pre-construction. Salaries will be offered based on the level of experience in the industry but there will be a benefits package given in addition which includes a car or car allowance, bonus, pension and healthcare
