Quantity Surveyor

Major Infrastructure Project - South West We are recruiting for both Quantity Surveyor and Senior Quantity Surveyor level professionals to join the commercial team on a major £90m infrastructure scheme in the South West. This high-profile civil engineering project involves the construction of a large-scale bypass and associated infrastructure works, including highways, active travel routes, environmental mitigation, and significant enabling works. The scheme is expected to run through to 2027 and forms part of a long-term regional investment programme. Working closely with the Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in the successful commercial delivery of the project, managing subcontractors, controlling costs, and supporting overall commercial performance. Key Responsibilities * Managing subcontract packages from procurement through to final account * Administering contracts including compensation events and notices * Producing CVRs, forecasts, and cost reporting * Monitoring project costs, value, risk, and commercial performance * Supporting project reporting and stakeholder communication * Promoting safe and compliant working practices throughout delivery About You * Experience working on infrastructure or civil engineering projects * Good understanding of NEC contracts * Strong commercial awareness and cost management capability * Effective communication and stakeholder management skills * Relevant degree qualification or equivalent experience * MRICS or MCIOB (or working towards) desirable What’s on Offer * Competitive salary (dependent on experience) * Car allowance / company car * Pension, healthcare, and bonus package * 28 days holiday plus bank holidays * Ongoing training and career progression opportunities * Travel/subsistence package available where applicable * Hybrid working with 4 days per week on site/in office The Opportunity This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading UK contractor delivering a landmark infrastructure scheme with long-term security, structured career development, and genuine progression opportunities from QS through to Senior QS and beyond.
