Senior Civil Technician

Senior Civil Technician A growing multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Technician to join its expanding infrastructure team in Welwyn Garden City. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician to take a leading role in the delivery of major infrastructure and development projects across sectors including residential, logistics, commercial, industrial and data centres. The Role Responsibilities will include: Producing detailed civil engineering drawings and 3D design models using Civil 3D and related software Preparing highway, drainage and utility infrastructure designs in line with UK standards and best practice Supporting technical approvals and construction detail packages Coordinating design information across multidisciplinary teams Liaising with clients, consultants, contractors and local authorities Managing project documentation and ensuring QA standards are maintained Supporting and mentoring junior technicians and graduates Assisting engineers with project delivery and technical reporting Requirements HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline Strong experience within a civil infrastructure consultancy environment Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD Experience in highways, drainage and infrastructure design Knowledge of MicroDrainage / InfoDrainage and Vehicle Tracking software is desirable Strong understanding of UK design standards and regulations Excellent communication and coordination skills Ability to manage workload across multiple projects and deadlines Experience mentoring junior team members is advantageous What’s on Offer Hybrid and flexible working options Private medical insurance Enhanced pension contribution Annual professional membership fees paid Ongoing CPD and technical training Collaborative and supportive team culture Clear progression opportunities within a growing consultancy Opportunity to work on large-scale UK and European infrastructure projects This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Civil Technician looking to progress their career within a forward-thinking consultancy delivering complex and high-profile engineering projects
