SEN Teaching Assistant

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Kingston, London Job Type: Full-time Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Start Date: September 2026   We are seeking a caring, dedicated, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Kingston. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children with Special Educational Needs and help them achieve their full potential in a positive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language, and social-emotional needs. Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons. Adapt learning activities to meet individual student needs. Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and independence. Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents. Assist with personal care where required. Help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment.Requirements: Experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school or childcare setting. A patient, calm, and compassionate approach. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to support children with varying learning and behavioural needs. A passion for education and helping children succeed.
