Assistant Quantity Surveyor

The business delivers large-scale mechanical, electrical, and public health projects. The Role This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their career within a supportive and fast-paced construction environment. Working alongside experienced commercial professionals, you will gain exposure to major construction and M&E projects while assisting with the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account. Key Responsibilities * Assisting with the commercial management of construction projects * Supporting the preparation of valuations, variations, and final accounts * Monitoring project costs and reporting on commercial performance * Assisting with subcontractor procurement and account management * Preparing and reviewing payment applications * Supporting cost forecasting and budgeting activities * Liaising with project teams, subcontractors, and clients * Ensuring commercial processes and procedures are followed Requirements * Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline * Minimum 1 year postgraduate experience within the construction industry * Strong numerical and analytical skills * Excellent communication and organisational abilities * Eagerness to learn and progress within a commercial role * Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel * Experience within M&E or main contracting environments would be advantageous What’s on Offer * Opportunity to work on prestigious and technically challenging projects * Structured career development and mentoring * Ongoing training and CPD support * Clear progression opportunities within a growing business * Competitive salary and benefits package * Collaborative and supportive working environment
