Senior Electrical Estimator


Job Title: Senior Electrical Estimator Location: London Salary: £100K per annum + bonus The Role: • Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical installation projects, with a strong focus on CAT A & CAT B office fit-outs • Review and analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation • Carry out detailed electrical take-offs (lighting, small power, containment, distribution, and associated systems) • Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations • Identify value engineering opportunities to improve cost efficiency without compromising quality • Prepare detailed tender submissions including pricing breakdowns, assumptions, exclusions, and technical clarifications • Attend pre- and post-tender meetings as required • Work closely with pre-construction, design, and operational teams to support tender and delivery handover • Manage multiple live tenders within tight deadlines • Maintain accurate tender and cost data for future reference and benchmarking The Company: • Established M&E contractor operating across London and the Southeast • Specialists in commercial office fit-out and refurbishment projects • Strong focus on CAT A & CAT B electrical packages including lighting, power, containment, fire alarms, and data systems • Busy and fast-moving workload with a strong pipeline of tenders and live projects • Known for being responsive and quick decision-makers during recruitment and commercial processes • Promotion-driven structure with internal progression encouraged The Ideal Candidate: • Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Electrical Estimator within the Building Services / M&E sector • Strong background in commercial office fit-out projects (CAT A & CAT B) • Excellent understanding of electrical systems and installation methods • Strong numerical and analytical ability • Confident working under pressure and managing multiple tenders simultaneously • Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Excel What You’ll Get: • Salary in excess of £100K + package • Annual bonus scheme • 25 days holiday plus 1–2 additional company shutdown days over Christmas • Hybrid working available after initial office-based period, aligned with tender workload requirements • Clear progression route, with opportunity to move into a management position within ~12 months Process: • Initial 30-minute Teams interview • Followed by face-to-face interview if successful • Fast decision-making process with quick feedback • CV review and response typically within short timescales due to active hiring
