Junior Production Engineer

Junior Production Engineer Full-Time | Permanent Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 5:30pm | Friday: 8:00am – 4:30pm Contek Recruitment are currently working with a well-established and growing precision manufacturing company who are looking to recruit a Junior Production Engineer to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and career-driven individual looking to develop within a hands-on engineering environment (office based role). The successful candidate will receive training and development across a variety of production engineering functions, with exposure to design, estimating, purchasing, supplier liaison, and manufacturing support. The Role Working closely with experienced engineers and management, duties will include: * Assisting with design and engineering tasks using CAD software * Supporting estimating and quotation activities * Purchasing materials and liaising with suppliers * Conducting supplier visits and maintaining strong supplier relationships * Supporting production and manufacturing processes * Assisting with project coordination and documentation * Using Microsoft Office packages for reporting and administration Candidate Requirements * Previous engineering or manufacturing experience preferred * Experience using a CAD package is highly desirable (Autodesk Inventor experience advantageous) * Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages * Strong communication and organisational skills * Willingness to learn and develop across multiple engineering disciplines * Positive attitude with a proactive approach to work What’s On Offer * Excellent training and development opportunities * Varied and interesting role within a growing business * Supportive working environment * Long-term career progression opportunities This position would suit a junior engineer, engineering graduate, or someone looking to take the next step within manufacturing and production engineering
