Van Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician Hounslow / Heathrow Area £44,000 Basic + Overtime £18.00 per hour based on a 47.5-hour week Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 6:00pm Every Other Saturday: 8:00am – 1:00pm (paid at time and a half) We are recruiting an experienced Van Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician to join our busy commercial vehicle workshop in the Hounslow / Heathrow area. You will be supporting a large customer base of well-known companies operating extensive vehicle fleets, providing a varied, stable, and consistent workload within a fast-paced workshop environment. This role is ideal for a skilled technician with strong diagnostic abilities who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship. Van Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician The Role You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of light commercial vehicles to a high standard while working efficiently to meet workshop deadlines. Vehicles You Will Work On Sprinters Long wheelbase vehicles Transits ll makes and models of commercial vans Van Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician Responsibilities * Servicing, maintenance, and repair of light commercial vehicles * Diagnostics and fault finding using diagnostic equipment * Mechanical and electrical repairs * MOT preparation and inspections * Completing job cards and service sheets accurately * Using electronic tablets and workshop systems * Taking photographs of damaged or defective parts for warranty purposes * Ensuring vehicles are presented to a high standard after repair * Maintaining high standards of health & safety within the workshop * Liaising with the Workshop Foreman and management to prioritise workload * Attending occasional local breakdowns when required * Ensuring all work is completed within allocated times * Maintaining accurate timesheets and good timekeeping Van Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician Requirements * Proven experience as a Van Technician, LCV Technician, or Commercial Vehicle Technician * Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills * Experience working on multiple makes and models of vans * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * High attention to detail and reliability * Full UK driving licence preferred (less than 6 points desirable) * Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or City & Guilds desirable * Ability to provide a 5-year work history to obtain an enhanced criminal records check for Heathrow airside access Desirable HGV licence preferred but not essential Previous experience in a busy commercial workshop environment What We Offer Competitive pay package Overtime opportunities Saturday shifts paid at time and a half Ongoing training and development Stable long-term employment Busy and professional workshop environment
