Job Description: Overview We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer specialising in 3 and 5 Axis Milling to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in machining, CAD/CAM software, and mechanical processes, with a focus on precision and efficiency. Duties * Develop and optimise CNC programmes for 3 and 5 Axis Milling machines using CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks. * Set up and operate CNC milling equipment, ensuring accurate execution of programmes. * Interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce precise components. * Perform grinding, welding, and assembly tasks as required for project completion. * Utilise hand tools, power tools, and tooling to prepare materials and maintain equipment. * Conduct routine inspections of machined parts to verify adherence to quality standards. * Assist with plastics injection moulding processes where applicable. * Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. * Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot machining issues and improve processes. Requirements * Proven experience in CNC programming for 3 and 5 Axis Milling machines. * Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, alongside CAM programming skills. * Knowledge of grinding, welding, plastics injection moulding, and assembly processes. * Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. * Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, tooling setup, and basic maths skills for measurements. * Familiarity with the use of CAD/CAM software for programme development. * Strong understanding of mechanical principles related to plastics processing and manufacturing techniques. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
