Housing Support Officer

Title - Housing Support Officer Contract Length - 6 Months Rate - Competitve I’m currently supporting a client with the recruitment of a Housing Support Officer to join a busy supported accommodation service working with young people. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about empowering individuals to build confidence, develop life skills, and move towards greater independence. Key duties include: * Providing practical and emotional support to young people within supported accommodation * Building positive relationships and encouraging engagement with education, employment, and personal goals * Completing support, risk, and eligibility assessments for new referrals * Assisting with move-ins, property readiness, and reducing void turnaround times * Carrying out regular property visits and welfare checks * Supporting residents to understand and meet occupancy expectations * Working alongside external professionals and support services to achieve positive outcomes * Maintaining accurate records, support notes, and tenancy-related documentation Ideal candidate: * Previous experience within housing, supported living, youth work, or a similar support setting * Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment * Confident using IT systems and maintaining accurate records * Ability to build rapport with vulnerable young people and encourage positive engagement * Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a wider team Apply above if you're interested
