Key Responsibilities of a CNC Miller: * Setting and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision components to tight tolerances * Working across multi-axis machining centres within a modern manufacturing environment * Completing full machine setups, including tooling and fixture adjustments where required * Supporting improvements in tooling, setup methods, and machining processes * Assisting and supporting other operators with machine operation and inspection standards when needed * Carrying out self-inspection of components and ensuring quality standards are consistently met * Working from engineering drawings, route cards, and inspection documentation, ensuring accurate recording of information * Carrying out basic machine checks and preventative maintenance in line with procedures * Maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and housekeeping at all times Key Skills of a CNC Miller: * Previous experience setting and operating CNC milling machines in a manufacturing or engineering environment * Experience working with multi-axis machining centres and modern CNC controls (Mazatrol experience advantageous) * Time-served or qualified in a machining or engineering discipline (desirable) * Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team * Experience working to tight tolerances in a precision engineering environment * Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings and inspection documentation * Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and flexible approach to machining methods * Reliable with a strong attendance and timekeeping record
