P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking a Production Process Engineer to work on a full-time permanent basis in Great Yarmouth. Role Summary: Working in a clean manufacturing environment where the highest quality standards are observed, you will work as part of the Engineering team to improve processes, procedures, and efficiency of the team. Main Responsibilities: * Identify and manage projects related to production engineering equipment that will enhance operational performance. * Conduct studies to understand and optimize process efficiency, cycle times, bottlenecks, and equipment maintenance, with the goal of improving OEE. * Proactively contribute to component and product improvement initiatives that drive operational efficiency and quality. * Support engineering change controls, non-conformance investigations, CAPAs, and documentation updates. * Assist the Production Engineering Team in resolving issues affecting equipment efficiency. * Support the Production Engineering Team in enhancing overall effectiveness through refined processes, documentation, tooling, housekeeping, and training. * Support the project handover process for capital projects to ensure a smooth transition to the engineering team. * Prepare robust financial justifications for proposed improvements and changes. * Undertake equipment modifications where necessary and carry out testing to verify that desired outcomes have been achieved. Experience and Qualifications: * Minimum level 4 qualification in a technical or engineering discipline. * Proven track record of successfully leading machine design or machine improvement projects, preferably within a production environment. * Background in FMCG or pharmaceutical manufacturing with exposure to packaging and production equipment is advantageous. * Competent user of Microsoft Office suite with strong IT skills. * Experience with CAD software is desirable. * Self-starter with a proactive, can-do attitude and meticulous attention to detail. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively train colleagues. * Strong commitment to working safely and maintaining controlled, methodical work practices.
