Sales & Projects Engineer

Now, we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Technical Sales & Project Engineer to help drive the next stage of our growth with Hertfordshire and the home counties. About the Role Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting our sales and management teams to deliver on our development strategy. You’ll act as our technical sales presence in the region – generating new business, nurturing existing client relationships, and ensuring projects run smoothly from enquiry to completion. Your day-to-day work will include: * Developing new and existing business opportunities across installation, service, and maintenance agreements * Building strong customer relationships, advising on system design, and selecting the right equipment for their needs * Managing the full project lifecycle – from initial enquiry to final handover * Coordinating with engineers, sub-contractors, and colleagues to ensure efficient, high-quality delivery * Monitoring quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction at every stage What We’re Looking For * Experience in a technical sales role or similar position within the HVAC sector. * A flexible, self-motivated approach and a genuine passion for customer satisfaction * Proven sales and project management experience * Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted business relationships at all levels * Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines. * Excellent technical knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration systems * Competent IT skills (Mac and PC – Word, Excel); CAD experience is a bonus * A solid understanding of Health & Safety within the construction industry * Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities * A full, clean UK driving licence Why Join Pitkin & Ruddock?
