Scala Developer (x2) - UK Government Client £470 / £415 per day - Inside IR35 Initial 3‑month contract | Start ASAP We are recruiting two Scala Developers for a high-profile UK Government programme, supporting the delivery of scalable, secure digital services. The Roles Role 1: £470 per day (Inside IR35) Role 2: £415 per day (Inside IR35)Both roles are offered on an initial 3-month contract, with a strong chance of extension. Location: Remote-first with travel to Newcastle once per sprint (approximately every 2 weeks). Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Scala Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following TDD principles Collaborate with product managers, testers, and other engineers in an agile environment Contribute to code reviews and technical discussions Support continuous improvement of development standards and practicesEssential Skills & Experience Strong commercial experience with Scala Experience working on UK Government or public sector projects Solid understanding and hands-on use of Test-Driven Development (TDD) Experience working in agile, sprint-based teamsNice to Have Pega experience or exposureIf you're a Scala Developer with government experience and availability to start quickly, please get in touch for more details
