Warehouse Order Picker – Stevenage Pay: £13.22 – £16.53 per hour Full‑Time We are looking for reliable and motivated Order Pickers to join our busy warehouse team in Stevenage. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, takes pride in accuracy, and wants to contribute to a fast‑moving operation. Job Purpose To ensure all customer orders are picked correctly, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will follow stock rotation rules, maintain excellent hygiene, and support timely order preparation while adhering to all food‑safety and health & safety procedures. Key Responsibilities Order Picking & Accuracy Pick customer orders accurately using pick lists, labels, and specifications Follow FIFO stock rotation and report any quality or short‑life issues Ensure correct packaging, trays, pallet labels, and SSTC labels are used Keep the pick area tidy and organised Handle fresh produce carefully to maintain quality Support general warehouse duties when required Productivity & Planning Meet hourly efficiency targets Follow daily plans and report any changes to your supervisor Provide clear handovers between shifts Work closely with Transport & Despatch to support smooth operations Customer Specification & Quality Pick all products to the correct customer specification Highlight any product or packaging issues promptly Maintain high hygiene standards and follow company quality policies Administration Follow all pick sheets and report discrepancies Complete all plans and reports accurately and on time People & Communication Report disciplinary or conflict issues to supervisors Maintain good communication with your team and management Equipment Sign out and return scanners and trucks at the start and end of each shift Report any equipment faults immediately Hygiene & Housekeeping Follow the company’s clean‑as‑you‑go policy Maintain cleanliness in picking and storage areas Health & Safety Follow all health & safety policies at all times Report hazards, near misses, and safety breaches Keep fire exits clear What We’re Looking For Good communication skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Computer‑literate Flexible and willing to support the team Motivated and energetic Able to carry out manual‑handling tasks If you’re hardworking, detail‑focused, and ready to join a supportive warehouse team in Stevenage, we’d be happy to hear from you.
