Import Operations Coordinator (Freight Forwarding) Gatwick Area £26,500 - £32,000 (DOE) Monday-Friday, 09:00-18:00 We're working with a well-established and growing freight forwarding business looking to add an Import Operations Coordinator to their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with existing import experience, or a strong junior looking to build a long-term career within freight and logistics. You'll be joining a busy, supportive team where you'll take ownership of shipments and play a key role in delivering a high level of service to clients. Key Responsibilities Managing import shipments across Air, Road and Ocean freight Handling customer enquiries and providing job quotations Liaising with carriers, agents, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations Processing shipments from start to finish Costing jobs and raising invoices Maintaining accurate records and managing your own workload Supporting warehouse operations where requiredWhat We're Looking For Previous experience within freight forwarding / import operations (preferred) Exposure to customs processes (CDS/CHIEF knowledge beneficial but not essential) Strong communication and organisational skills Ability to manage your own desk and prioritise workload Confident IT skills A proactive and reliable approach We will also consider junior candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn, full training will be provided.
