If you believe you have the skill set required, are keen to join a business with genuine opportunities for career progression, then I would love to hear from you.   Job Description   My client is seeking a highly ambitious, self-governing individual to join their team to provide high quality ecological services.   You would work out of the Manchester office, however would be expected to work throughout the UK on a variety of projects.   The successful individual will be able to:   ·Undertake Ecological surveys, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (Phase 1 Habitat Survey/ UKHab) independently in line with appropriate guidance. ·Deliver pragmatic, accurate advice to clients. ·Produce a variety of ecological reports including PEA and protected species reports to a high standard and in line with best practice guidance. Experience with Biodiversity Net Gain calculations, HRA screening assessments, management plans, UKHab and method statements would be desirable. ·Experience with QGIS/ ArcGIS and Biodiversity Net Gain is highly desirable. ·Hold a Class 1 Bat and/or Great Crested Newt Natural England Licences and lead the aforementioned surveys. ·Be an active member of the E3P Ecology team, working collaboratively with the wider team. ·Work alongside the other disciplines within E3P, to further our service offering. ·Represent the company at networking events and industry social events. ·Develop relationships with clients, as well as win new work for the company. ·Accept and deal with responsibility for project delivery and client liaison. ·Organise sub-contractors and survey scheduling.   Qualifications and experience required include:   ·Relevant work experience within a consultancy would be desirable to demonstrate commitment and knowledge of what the job will entail; ·Qualifying member of CIEEM or willingness to obtain; ·Beneficial to be working towards a Natural England Protected Species Survey License for bat; and, ·Degree in a relevant Environmental Sciences subject.   Duties and Responsibilities:   ·Assisting the wider team with all protected species and Phase 1 Habitat Surveys; ·Data collation and data entry; ·Survey organisation and organisation of subcontractors; ·Assisting the wider team with report writing; and, ·Progressing your career through continued training and CPD both inside and outside of work.   PERSONAL PROFILE: ·Accept and deal with responsibility for project delivery and client liaison ·Excellent written and oral communication skills ·Flexibility ·Enthusiasm ·Teamwork ·Commercial awareness ·Self confidence ·Able and willing to work and stay away from base office, potentially for extended periods, to support project delivery ·Able and willing to work night shifts (bat and newt surveys) ·Self starter ·Happy to work outdoors ·Live in close proximity of the Manchester office (half hour commute) or be happy to relocate. ·Must demonstrate a genuine interest in developing a career in ecology
