Supporting the business in this growth whilst carefully navigating the ever-evolving regulatory landscape is both intellectually challenging and rewarding to see the critical role the Ethics Team plays in delivering valuable impact in protecting firm. Working as an Ethics Supervisor, reporting to the Ethics Director, you would support client-facing teams in evaluating potential conflicts, advising on appropriate safeguards, and assisting in maximising commercial opportunities as far as permissible under the Ethics policies. Alongside varied and challenging casework day to day, you will also play a key role in continuously improving the systems and processes that enables our partners and employees to serve clients efficiently and effectively. You’ll make an impact by: * Responding to ethics-related queries from partners and staff, providing guidance aligned with firm policies and professional standards for example, fee consultations, independence assessments and business relationships. * Considering any contentious issues identified, including identifying practical solutions and where appropriate, escalating complex matters to senior ethics team members. * Acting as a day-to-day point of contact for engagement teams, always providing excellent client service. * Monitoring the progress of open queries and producing reports on key areas considered by the Ethics Team periodically. * Supporting monitoring activities and internal reviews to assess adherence to ethics policies. Analysing findings and preparing reports for senior leadership. * Contributing to firm-wide training courses, briefings and workshops. * Refining RSM’s ethical policies and procedures to ensure compliance with professional standards (e.g., FRC Ethical Standard, ICAEW Code of Ethics, IFAC Code of Ethics) in a practical and efficient manner. * Assisting in the development of systems and processes to ensure that the firm can manage all regulatory requirements efficiently and effectively.
