Purchase Ledger Clerk Location: Sutton in Ashfield Salary: £26,000 Full-time | Fully Office-Based Astute Recruitment are working with a well-established and growing business based in Sutton in Ashfield to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk or Accounts Payable professional to join a busy and supportive finance team. This role is fully office-based and would suit someone who is highly organised, detail-focused, and confident managing high volumes of purchase ledger invoices in a fast-paced environment Key Responsibilities – Purchase Ledger Clerk * Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently * Scanning and inputting purchase ledger invoices onto the system * Matching invoices to purchase orders (POs) and delivery notes * Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies * Managing supplier queries via email and telephone * Performing regular supplier statement reconciliations * Chasing approvals for unmatched invoices * Maintaining accurate purchase ledger records and filing systems * Supporting the wider finance team with accounts payable duties Requirements – Purchase Ledger Clerk * Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger Clerk / Accounts Payable role * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Experience handling high volumes of purchase ledger invoices * Confident communicator when dealing with suppliers and internal teams * Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines * Good working knowledge of finance systems and Excel Other roles you may recruited for: Purchase Ledger Clerk, Accounts Payable Clerk, Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Finance Officer
