Alternative Provision Teaching Assistant - Sheffield Tradewind Recruitment Tradewind Recruitment is proud to be working with a range of alternative provisions across Sheffield, and we are currently recruiting for a resilient and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support students with additional needs on a flexible basis. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people who may face barriers to mainstream education. The Role: As an Alternative Provision Teaching Assistant working through Tradewind Recruitment, you will: Support students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs Work closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored learning activities Build positive, trusting relationships with students Help manage behaviour in a calm and consistent manner Provide one-to-one or small group support where requiredWhat We're Looking For: Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an alternative provision or SEN setting A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach Strong behaviour management skills A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners Flexibility to work across different settings in SheffieldWhy Work with Tradewind Recruitment?
