The team advises across all areas of indirect tax, including VAT, customs, excise, stamp taxes, and environmental taxes. With a collaborative and forward-thinking culture, they deliver innovative solutions to help clients navigate complex local and global tax challenges. They are currently seeking individuals with a strong interest in Indirect Tax within Financial Services to join their growing team. The Opportunity This role offers the chance to develop strong tax technical expertise while working with a broad client base across the financial services sector. Alongside technical tax work, you will gain exposure to operational consulting and technology-led solutions, helping clients manage the practical day-to-day challenges of an increasingly complex legal and regulatory environment. Main Duties and Responsibilities * Working as part of a team of problem solvers to help clients manage complex issues from strategy through to execution. * Building strong relationships with clients and internal teams across the UK and global network. * Collaborating with colleagues across indirect tax and wider business areas to win new clients and projects. * Providing innovative advice aligned to clients’ commercial objectives. * Working within multidisciplinary teams alongside customs, legal, and systems specialists. * Keeping up to date with indirect tax legislation and practical developments. * Supporting the creation and use of technology-led solutions to solve client challenges. * Managing workloads effectively while supporting junior team members. Person Specification * Previous VAT experience is essential. * Knowledge of the financial services sector would be advantageous. * Strong commitment to delivering excellent client service. * Good project management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. * Ability to exercise sound judgement, manage risk, and seek guidance where appropriate. * Comfortable working flexibly and across virtual teams. * Experience managing or mentoring junior staff.
