Job title: Quantity Surveyor Job Type: Temporary IR35 Status: Inside Start date: ASAP Duration: 52 weeks Pay rate: Competitive Location: Glasgow Hybrid/Remote Working: Hybrid Hours of work: 37 hours per week Role information: * Provide commercial support across projects, including bid governance, change management, compensation events, and contractual notices * Ensure compliance with internal procedures and contract requirements, liaising with HoC, SQS, and clients * Support Project Managers with all commercial aspects of project delivery * Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders * Interpret and apply head contract terms, ensuring flow-down to subcontractors * Monitor contract compliance and implement corrective actions where required * Develop and support procurement strategies to meet project timelines, budgets, and risk requirements * Identify, manage, and mitigate commercial and supply chain risks * Lead sourcing and tendering processes, ensuring well-defined work packages and appropriate contract terms * Manage subcontractor performance, claims, and post-contract commercial activities * Ensure timely issuance of contractual notices and proper documentation of variations and claims * Review and validate subcontractor compensation events and invoices, certifying payments * Support agreement of final accounts with subcontractors * Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and site teams to track progress and variations * Promote commercial best practices and provide guidance to project teams * Escalate key commercial risks and issues to senior management with proposed solutions Qualifications/Experience Required * Extensive working knowledge of NEC3 or NEC4 UK National Security Vetting Status – Ability to gain SC Clearance - Candidate must be a British National due to the nature of the project Interested in this position? please click “apply now” We try to respond to all applicants, but sometimes this is not possible due to high volumes of applications; if you have not heard from us within 14 days, regrettably it means you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.
