Our client is seeking a Handyman for a permanent, static position based at a major healthcare facility in the Fulham / West London area. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a large, supportive team and play a key role in the day-to-day upkeep of a critical site. The Role As the Site Handyman, you will be part of a 30-strong maintenance department. You will be responsible for a wide variety of fabric repairs and general maintenance tasks to ensure the facility remains safe and operational. Your duties will include: Fabric Repairs: Carrying out essential maintenance such as changing ceiling tiles, repairing door locks and hinges, and basic painting and decorating. Minor Plumbing: Addressing straightforward issues like clearing toilet blockages and unblocking sinks. Inspections & PPMs: Performing basic planned preventative maintenance (PPM) routines, including visual safety and condition inspections. Problem Solving: Taking ownership of daily work orders to resolve minor building issues quickly and efficiently. Team Collaboration: Working alongside electricians, plumbers, and mechanical engineers to deliver high-quality maintenance services across the site. You To be successful in this role, you don’t need specific formal qualifications, but you must have a "can-do" attitude and a solid background in building maintenance: Experience: Proven experience in a handyman or general maintenance role, ideally within a commercial or public-sector environment. Technical Skills: Competent in basic carpentry (locks/hinges), painting, and minor plumbing. Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a large team and communicate with site staff. Reliability: A proactive approach to tasks and a commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship. What's in it for you?
