Section Engineer


We are currently recruiting for an experienced Section Engineer to support a major infrastructure project in Glasgow. This is a key hire to replace an existing team member, offering an immediate opportunity to step into a well-established project team delivering significant civil engineering works. The Role As Section Engineer, you will take responsibility for managing sections of work across core infrastructure activities, including oversight of subcontractors and Site Engineers. Key Responsibilities Managing day-to-day delivery of works within your section Overseeing and coordinating subcontractors Providing technical support and guidance to Site Engineers Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress to senior management Scope of Works Earthworks Drainage Roads and kerbing Utilities infrastructure Requirements Proven experience working as a Section Engineer on civil engineering or infrastructure projects Strong background in groundworks and infrastructure (essential) Experience managing subcontractors and supervising Site Engineers Valid CSCS card Background with infrastructure or civil engineering contractors (not building or hard landscaping contractors) Role 50/50 out on the park/office based. Project Details Location: Glasgow Duration: Minimum 3 months Start: Immediate / ASAP Rate: £350–£400 per day (depending on experience) Hours: Monday–Thursday: 07:30–17:00 Friday: 07:30–14:30 If you are an experienced Section Engineer with strong infrastructure experience and are available for your next contract, we would be keen to speak with you.
