Finance Assistant

Finance Assistant Paisley £14.42 per hour We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Finance Assistant to join a small, close-knit finance team. This role is intended to provide additional support across the function, helping to stabilise workloads and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong transactional finance experience who enjoys variety, working collaboratively, and getting involved across all areas of finance. This is a 3 month temporary contract to support our client during their busy period. Working Hours * Monday-Thursday: 8:00am - 5:00pm * Friday: 8:00am - 4:00pm * 1-hour lunch break * 39 hours per week Benefits * Supportive and friendly team environment * Opportunity to gain broad, hands-on finance experience * Exposure to multiple areas of the finance function * Ongoing training and support The Role You will support the Finance Director and wider team with a range of transactional finance duties, contributing to the efficient running of the department. * Process invoices and support general finance administration * Assist with weekly payroll (approx. 100 operatives) * Assist with monthly payroll (approx. 60 staff) * Input high volumes of data from paper timesheets * Support purchase ledger activities * Support sales ledger activities * Provide cover during holidays and busy periods * Handle incoming telephone calls as part of the team * Assist with general transactional finance duties * Act as an all-rounder across the finance function About You * Strong experience in a transactional finance role * Comfortable with payroll processes and high-volume data entry * Experience working within a small or SME environment preferred * Flexible and willing to support across multiple areas * Strong attention to detail and organisational skills 📩 To apply or find out more, contact: Nicole Wilson 📧 (url removed)| 📞 (phone number removed) Search is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age
