Drainage Foreman – Highways (Deep Drainage) – Howden We are currently seeking an experienced Drainage Foreman to lead deep drainage works on a major highways project in the Howden area. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a strong background in deep drainage operations within a highways environment. The successful candidate will be confident managing site teams, coordinating plant and labour, and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme. Key Responsibilities: * Supervise and lead drainage gangs on deep drainage installations * Organise and allocate labour, plant, and materials effectively * Ensure all works are carried out in line with health, safety, and environmental standards * Read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications * Maintain progress on site and liaise with site management and engineers * Ensure quality control and compliance with project requirements Requirements: * Proven experience as a Drainage Foreman on highways or civil engineering projects * Strong knowledge of deep drainage systems and installation methods * Ability to manage teams and put men and machines to work efficiently * SSSTS/SMSTS preferred * CPCS/NPORS and other relevant tickets advantageous * Strong communication and organisational skills About the Company: You will be joining a well-established and highly respected civil engineering contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex infrastructure and groundwork projects across the UK.
