Lead Engineer - Vehicle Electrical Engineering (Contract - Inside IR35) We are seeking an experienced Lead Vehicle Electrical Engineer to own electrical systems integration and delivery across multiple vehicle programmes. This is a senior, hands-on contract role requiring technical leadership, team management, and full accountability for delivery. Key Responsibilities Lead electrical systems development and integration Provide technical leadership across architecture and system delivery Manage onsite and offshore engineering teams Own system-level delivery for ICE and BEV platforms Act as technical authority for cross-domain system behaviour Define V&V requirements and support validation activities Manage suppliers, technical reviews, and deliverables Track milestones, progress, and resolve production/field issues Conduct design and integration reviews Coach and develop team membersExperience Strong experience in automotive electrical/electronic systems Proven background in system integration and architecture Experience leading delivery from concept to production Team leadership, including offshore coordination Proficiency with SABER Deep understanding of automotive validation and quality processes Ability to operate at system-level technical authorityDesirable ICE and BEV experience OEM or Tier 1 background Strong stakeholder/supplier managementQualifications Engineering degree or equivalent experienceAdditional Requirements Comfortable in a high-accountability leadership role Strong ownership mindset Open to longer-term opportunitiesThis role requires full ownership, decision-making, and leadership.
